Forming solid working relationships is one of the keys to becoming a successful underwriter. Vivek has repeatedly proven his ability to effectively interact with brokers and co-workers alike by bringing in new business for the company as well as providing training, instruction, and mentoring for junior staff.
In 2002 he joined the Commercial Lines underwriting team in Halifax. By 2005 he had become a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter and he has very recently moved into a managerial role.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science from Acadia University, Vivek took a job in sales and distribution for a life insurance company. However, he discovered a much better fit for himself when he came to work at ING.
“I originally pursued a career with ING because I had heard they were a large company with a good reputation. I knew that plenty of opportunities would present themselves to me from within the organization. I have been extremely fortunate and I’m looking forward to a long-term career with ING Canada.”
