Project managers plan and manage all kinds of projects and make sure they are completed on time and on budget. Before coming to ING, Ada honed her project management skills at a multi-national management consulting firm, but the hectic pace of management consulting lead her to search for opportunities elsewhere.
“There was a lot of travelling involved and I was ready to make the move client side. I was specifically looking for an opportunity in the financial services sector, so when I found out about the job at ING, I was really excited.”
Coming from the fast paced world of management consulting, Ada was a little worried that her opportunities might be a little too limited with ING. However, she was pleased to discover that ING walks the talk when it comes to providing employees with new opportunities and challenges.
“When new opportunities come up my manager always supports me in pursuing them. I am very impressed by the fact that after two years at ING I still feel challenged and am continuously learning.”
Ada has also benefited from the international reach of ING. As a member of the Global Project Management Centre of Excellence workgroup, she routinely participates in knowledge sharing events with her ING project management colleagues from around the globe
