In January 2008, Marc Pontbriand was appointed as Executive Vice-President of ING Canada. He has overall responsibility for areas of Claims, Information Technologies, Human Resources, Planning and Communications.
Over the last 10 years, he has occupied various executive functions within ING Canada, a member of ING Group, one of the world largest diversified financial services companies.
He joined ING in 1998 as Vice-President Sales, BELAIRdirect. In this position, he headed a team for the Québec and New- Brunswick provinces. He also held the role of Vice-President Operations, BELAIRdirect, Quebec region in 2001and Vice-President Broker Services at ING Canada in 2002. In July 2004, he was appointed to Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer.
Prior to joining ING Canada, he held management functions in the Customer Service area for large corporations.
He is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec and a graduate of the École Polytechnique of Montreal.
