Louis Héroux
Senior Vice President, Claims


Mr. Héroux began his career with ING Canada in 1993 as the Manager of Development and Actuarial Research for the Quebec Region. Prior to joining the company, he spent several years in the Actuarial Department at La Capitale General Insurance Company. He also spent four years as the Vice-President of Personal Lines, and three years as Vice-President of Insurance at La Saint-Maurice General Insurance Company.

In 1995 Mr. Héroux moved from his first position at ING to Manager, Personal Lines. Two years later he was once again promoted; this time to Vice-President, Personal Lines. From there he progressed through various leadership roles, including: Vice-President, IT Project; Vice-President, Operational Support; Vice-President, Claims.
 
In June of 2006, Mr. Héroux accepted his current position as Senior Vice-President, Claims. He is responsible for overseeing the operations that provide service to the company’s insured who become victims of disaster or loss. He is also responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with service suppliers such as auto repair shops, restorers and health professionals.
 
Mr. Héroux holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Sciences from Laval University. He completed a Master in Sciences (M. Sc.) in 1978 from the same institution. He also holds an Associateship membership from the Society of Actuaries.
