ING Canada Inc. files preliminary prospectus for Initial Public Offering
ING Canada Inc. announced today that it has filed a Preliminary Prospectus with the Canadian securities regulatory authorities in connection with an initial public offering by ING Canada of its Common Shares in Canada. ING Bank of Canada, known as ING DIRECT, is not part of the proposed initial public offering. The offering is expected to be sold through a syndicate of underwriters led by Merrill Lynch Canada Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc.

ING to terminate its Ensemble Portfolios
ING Investment Management, Inc. announced today that it intends to terminate its six Ensemble Portfolios on or about December 15th, 2004. As a result, the Ensemble Portfolios are no longer accepting new deposits, including incoming transfers and switches. Unitholders are encouraged to contact their financial advisors or mutual fund dealers to discuss alternative investment options. To help facilitate this transition, ING Investment Management, Inc. is waiving the redemption charge for all Ensemble Portfolio unitholders.
