Marc Provost is Senior Vice President, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of ING Investment Management Inc. (Canada). IIM Canada has more than 8 BN CAD in assets under management under different investment mandates. ING IM’s main areas of business are P & C, pension funds, and third party mandates such as mutual funds and closed-end funds.
Mr. Provost has been involved in the investment industry since 1983. From 1983 to 1990 he was VP and Director of Portfolio Management Administration with Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion. Mr. Provost was initially an ING Commerce Group Portfolio Manager from 1990 to 1992 and went on to be Vice President, Investments for the next three years. He was Vice President, Head of Canadian Equity for Montrusco Inc. in 1997 and 1998. From 1998 to 2001,Mr. Provost was portfolio manager for the CDP Capital (Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec) and went on to be Vice President, Head of Canadian Equity from 2001 to 2004.
Mr. Provost is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He earned his Bachelor Degree from University of Montreal’s Hautes Études Commerciales, where he received the Loewen Ondaatje Scholarship for academic excellence.
