Ms. Stephenson has been the Dean of the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario since July 1, 2003. Prior to this appointment, she worked for more than 30 years in the telecommunications and technology industries, most recently as President and Chief Executive Officer of Lucent Technologies Canada. Ms. Stephenson serves on a number of other Boards of Directors, government committees and task forces. Ms. Stephenson is a graduate of the University of Toronto. She has also completed the Executive Program at the Graduate School of Business Administration, University of California at Berkeley, and the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. In 2000, she was awarded an honorary doctorate in engineering from Ryerson Polytechnic University. Ms. Stephenson was appointed a member of ING Canada’s former Advisory Board in 1999 and was previously a member of our Board of Directors in 1999. She has also been a director of ING Canada’s P&C insurance subsidiaries since 2002.

Ms. Stephenson is a member of the Human Resources Committee.
